He is the Founding Editor of Jananaayakan Magazine and Jananaayakan.com, a bilingual print and digital media platform that focuses on news, public affairs, governance, social development, business, culture, and entertainment. Under his leadership, Jananaayakan has evolved into a recognized independent media network serving audiences across Tamil Nadu and beyond.

Samaran is widely known for pioneering a unique Mobile Journalism-based media model, operating one of India’s most innovative independent digital news networks. His contributions to journalism and digital media have earned recognition through multiple accolades, including entries in the ** and several world-record achievements.

In 2026, he founded the Tamil Nadu Print and Digital News Publishers Federation, a professional body established to unite and strengthen print, digital, online, and independent news publishers across Tamil Nadu.
